Readout of Secretary Raimondo’s Call with German Vice Chancellor & Minister of Economic Affairs & Climate Action Robert Habeck
Today, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo had a call with Germany’s Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck to reaffirm the Department of Commerce’s commitment to working together in cooperation on Transatlantic trade concerning critical minerals, semiconductors, and clean technology. Secretary Raimondo noted the essential nature of critical minerals for success in helping the world transition to clean technology and expressed her interest in closer collaboration between the U.S., Germany, and EU at large in dealing with this shared challenge, bilaterally and through the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council.
