Readout of Secretary Raimondo’s Meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi
NEW DELHI – On Friday, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the strength of the U.S.-India relationship and deep partnership between the two countries in technology and innovation. The two discussed the U.S.-India CEO Forum and U.S.-India Commercial Dialogue meetings that the Secretary co-chaired alongside Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal. They also discussed the new Strategic Trade Dialogue and U.S.-India Memorandum of Understanding on Semiconductor Supply Chain and Innovation Partnership that were announced during the Secretary’s visit. The Secretary expressed her gratitude for India’s strong partnership in making the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework a global model of economic partnership that delivers concrete economic benefits.
