Today, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo met with Italian Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti to discuss several issues important to strengthening transatlantic trade relations. During the meeting, the Secretary and Minister discussed the upcoming Ministerial-level U.S.-EU Trade & Technology Council (TTC) meeting in May, and the Secretary noted the progress made through the TTC, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and export controls. Secretary Raimondo also stated that she looks forward to welcoming Italy’s delegation to the upcoming 2023 SelectUSA Investment Summit as our countries continue to deepen bilateral trade and investment ties.
